Iceland Loch Ness Monster

Iceland Loch Ness Monster, A video which allegedly captured the Loch Ness monster of Iceland – better known as the Lagarfljot river worm — has quickly become an Internet sensation.

The footage, taken by local resident Hjortur Kjerulf and published on Icelandic broadcaster RUV’s webpage, shows what looks like a creature swimming into the stream of the river with a winding and twisting motion.

The Lagarfljot river worm is well known in Icelandic folklore, first mentioned in 1345.

Legend has it that the worm had first been a small heather worm that was put onto a golden ring. This was done so the the gold would grow and the ring would become bigger. When the owner of the ring came to collect it some time later, he realized — to his great horror — that the worm had grown enormously but the ring had not. The owner threw the ring and the worm into Lagarfljot river where the worm continued to grow.

Ufo Thames Estuary, A video showing a possible UFO on YouTube posted on Monday has gone viral, with over 15,000 views in the last two days. The video, put up by space99dude, states:

ufo over london thames estuary seems too bright for a boat but I could be wrong and looked like it was above the water. It was a very long way off and I was at full 40x zoom hence the shaky footage.I had to eventually leave because of where I was parked . I always carry a camcorder in my car as saw something a few years ago and think more people should be looking and keeping cameras at the ready .

YouTube viewers have said that the lights on the video are an oil rig, with some saying it was a hoax, and other viewers insisting it’s the real deal. One viewer made a philosophical observation that “we all live in a BIG FAT HOAX,” with many complaining the video is not long enough.
Another viewer pointed out: “It could be anything…that’s the nature of UFO sightings…Keep looking and filming!”

Iceland Loch Ness Monster Real Or Robot

Iceland Loch Ness Monster Real Or Robot, Something that looks very much like a giant snake — or worm — is slithering its way out of Iceland and causing viral speculation around the Internet.

Lake Lagarfljot — 25 miles long and 367 feet deep in eastern Iceland — has been called home to a local legendary beast called Lagarfljotsormurinn, that country’s version of Scotland’s Loch Ness Monster.

On Feb. 2, Hjortur Kjerulf captured something on video that, at first glance, appears very snakelike (or wormlike, if you will) swimming in the cold water of the Icelandic lake.

The alleged beast is a little different from reports of Scotland’s Nessie, which supposedly has a large, dinosaur-like body, with fins, a long neck and tail and a head resembling a horse.

“What concerns me the most is the robotic look of this creature,” said Loren Coleman, director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.

Coleman has researched and written about the Icelandic creature in his book “Field Guide to Lake Monsters and Sea Serpents,” co-authored with Patrick Huyghe.

The most recent sighting of an unusual creature in Lake Lagarfljot, according to Coleman, took place in 1998, when a classroom of students and their teacher claimed to see one close to shore. But it wasn’t a snake or worm.

“This Icelandic lake monster, which dates back to 1345, has been described as a pale, humped animal, about 50 feet long, sprouting whiskers on the head at the end of a 6-foot-long neck,” Coleman told The Huffington Post.
