Tuscon Arizona Shooting, (UKPA) – The gunman believed to have perpetrated the massacre of Tucson refused to say anything to the police since he was detained, officers said.

Jared Loughner, 22, is accused of attempting to assassinate the U.S. Congress and Gabrielle Giffords killing six others, as he broke loose with a handgun.

Police said Loughner was not cooperating and said “not a word” to investigators.

They say they are almost certain Loughner acted alone, saying “this is a typical troubled person who is a loner.”

Loughner is due in court in Phoenix – just hours after President Barack Obama has led a nation shocked and saddened in a moment of silence for the victims and their families.

The dead included U.S. District Judge John Roll, 63, and nine years, Christina Taylor Green, who was born on September 11 September 2001 and was featured in a book called Faces of hope that the chronicle of a baby each state was born on the day terrorists killed nearly 3,000 people in the U.S.

The other victims were Ms. Giffords helps Gabe Zimmerman, 30, Dorothy Morris, 76; Dorwin Stoddard, 76, and Phyllis Schneck, 79.

Ms. Giffords, 40, remains in intensive care after being shot in the head at close range. The doctors said she had repeatedly responded to commands to move his fingers, giving them the hope that it can survive.

Neurosurgeon Dr. Michael LeMole said: “The best way to describe it is that it is itself required We are not closing the book on recovery for years, so it will take as long as necessary, I think the real question will be. How long it will take before she left the forest. ”

Meanwhile, officials are trying to find a lawyer to represent Loughner requested that San Diego-based Judy Clarke to be named. Ms. Clarke is a former federal public defender who served with the teams defending the Oklahoma City bombing, Timothy McVeigh’s conspirator, “Unabomber” Ted Kaczynski and Susan Smith, a woman from South Carolina who drowned her two son in 1994.
