TTD ONLINE BOOKING, Andhra Pradesh is the first country Place to initiate a dialogue proactive approach & to show the way forward for traditional products & processes through geographical indications. A “Geographical Indications Tool Kit” for micro-enterprises was awarded to 10 organizations representing the AP Weavers / craftspersons. It was launched today by CII Andhra Pradesh Technology Development & Promotion Centre.

Mr PH Kurian, Comptroller General of Patents, TM, Design, said his address – “AP is the first state to initiate a debate on the state level Post questions IM It welcomed the initiative and stated that it is an opportune time to start.” Registration of Authorized Users “under Part B application by the geographical Registration & Protection Act 1999. So far, there is no registration of authorized users. As at the date of about 146 products have been registered as geographical indications and approximately 225 applications were filed for the issue of IM application.

Honourable Justice N Rammohan Rao, Judge AP High Court in his inaugural speech said there are 200 products in Andhra Pradesh, who needs support for GI registration. The execution of GIs is critical for effective use of geographical indications protected in Andhra Pradesh. It is necessary that stakeholders in the 21st century who are now micro-entrepreneurs should come out on their own as the creation of a website, listing all the details on the product and then marketing on your own. He also shared the good and best practices in the IM processes and products in the EU, as have SOPs, control service quality. The same can be replicated in our country for more brand value and profitability.

Mr. J Satyanarayana, Chairman, TTD Special Authority clarified the approach of TTD to protect the uniqueness, Identity & reputation Laddu.GI Tirupathi is a strategic tool to strengthen the identity of view of traditional market Products.TTD has been to support this cause and take all necessary measures to protect the sanctity of Tirumala Tirupathi & divinity Devasthanam ..

Dr S Chakravarthy, Adviser APTDC theme in his speech outlined the initiatives of the IM state of Andhra Pradesh & Presented on & proactive action necessary to initiate collective support for IM away from Andhra Pradesh.

Mr Shakti Sagar, President CII, delivered the welcome speech and highlighted the importance of IM & the “Way Forward” to capitalize registered GI products for competitiveness and higher value added. The way forward should be on how we learn to respect this IM as an effective tool for our businesses. Finally, we all need to see tangible results that come out of the registered GI products Mr. Sagar summarizes the discussions and thanked all for their participation.
