Tribeca Film Festival, The Tribeca Film Festival has announced their line-up of films for 2012. The festival runs from April 18-29 and will premiere from some great filmmakers.

Tribeca was founded in 2002 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff after the attack on the World Trade Center. The neighborhood called Tribeca in Lower Manhattan was the first community to be hit hard by the aftermath of the attacks.

While film festivals are great fun for moviegoers, they can also be a good opportunity for filmmakers. The blog, “Film Festival Secrets,” reveals some advantages of showing a film at a festival. Festivals like Tribeca, Sundance and some of the other big festivals can be even more rewarding.

Here is a list of some interesting films to be shown at Tribeca :

“Any Day Now,” directed by Travis Fine, written by Travis Fine and George Arthur Bloom. (USA) – World Premiere, Narrative. In the late 1970s, when a mentally handicapped teenager is abandoned, a gay couple takes him in and becomes the family he’s never had. But once the unconventional living arrangement is discovered by authorities, the men must fight a biased legal system to adopt the child they have come to love as their own. Alan Cumming and Garret Dillahunt star in TFF alum Travis Fine’s (The Space Between) touching and occasionally incendiary drama.
