Texas A&M Player Killed In Car Crash, The Texas A&M football program is in mourning today as senior Joseph Villavisencio was killed in a car crash yesterday. Villavisencio, a three year letterman on the offensive line for the Aggies, swerved to miss a buzzard in the road and collided head on with an 18 wheeler.

Villavisencio was traveling home to Jacksonville TX, to spend time with his family before the Aggies played in the Meineke Car Care Bowl in Houston on New Year’s Eve. He had participated earlier that day in handing out presents to children and families at the Twin City Mission in Bryan.

“He epitomized selfless service in making Texas A&M a better football team. He was an excellent student and just a great kid,” said Texas A&M Director of Athletics Bill Byrne in a statement. “This is a sad day for Texas A&M and our hearts are broken for his family, his teammates and his friends.” Villavisencio was 22.
