Steve Jobs, who was adopted as a child, he met his biological father by chance. In audio recordings revealed by the biographer of the late president of Apple, Jobs describes his father had found a restaurant in Silicon Valley, without the two men never realize their connection.

The biographer Walter Isaacson, author of new book “Steve Jobs”, shared the recording, among others, in an interview Sunday night with 60 minutes, according to The New York Times.

Even though Jobs had reconnected with her biological mother and his sister, he had no desire to find his biological father, Abdulfattah Jandali, who had abandoned the family, the newspaper said.

“I learned [a] little about it and I liked what I learned,” Jobs said in the audio recording.

However, Jobs finally discovered that the two had, in fact, met earlier this year in the race for Mr. Jandali restaurant that was frequented by many high profile people.

Jobs said he remembered meeting the restaurant manager: “I shook his hand and shook my hand and that’s all.”

The two never spoke again, The New York Times, although Mr. Jandali recalled later Apple executive was a “big tipper.” Mr. Jandali not realized Jobs was, in fact, his son until 2006.

According to the blog news feed of Time magazine, Mr. Jandali, who is from Syria and now lives in Nevada, did not reach your child, even when Jobs stepped down as CEO in August, as his health was deteriorating .

“This may sound strange, though, but I’m not ready, even if any of us were on our deathbed, to pick up the phone to call,” Time quoted Mr. Jandali the newspaper. “Steve has to do that, like me pride in Syria do not want to ever think I’m after his fortune.”
