Auburn Vs South Carolina

December 4, 2010 by · Comments Off on Auburn Vs South Carolina

Auburn Vs South Carolina, Auburn, Cam Newton, Cecil Newton joke of an NCAA ruling, the national title and Heisman trophy. There is nothing to write. Look at the Gamecocks. The story was eclipsed Steve Spurrier. If he wins the title of the SEC with South Carolina, it must be considered among the pantheon of great college coaches. Look back Spurrier. He inherits a team that Duke has not won seven games in 20 years. He won the ACC title in his third season.

Spurrier travels to Florida, a decent program on probation. In 12 seasons, he won a national title, won six SEC titles (seven if you count his first year under probation), going to eight level BCS bowls (11 years eligible), and wins 10 games or more nine times. He finished with at least nine victories, at least a 6-2 record in the SEC and 13th or more each season. When he walks away, Florida is probably one of the top five jobs.

He returned to college football with South Carolina in 2005. They are not a traditional power. The Gamecocks’ 1969 ACC title is their only conference title since 1892. It was their first time winning the Eastern Division. He inherited a team that had nine losing seasons over the past 15 years and suffered a stretch in 1998 and 1999 where they won a game in two years.

If Spurrier wins today it will build a national central Florida and has introduced two programs tub, Duke and South Carolina, on the national scene. It is difficult to find a more impressive resume.

The Game: South Carolina should have won last time. Turnovers and quarterback switch has killed in the second half. For some reason the Gamecocks unraced Marcus Lattimore when they took the lead. They should have won, so this does not mean they will win now.

Auburn is a better team than they were in September. Their wagons are circled and they are a seasoned 12-0. Their speed should give them an advantage over the artificial turf. Cam Newton and Nick Fairley they present the most compelling game on both sides of the ball. South Carolina has surprised the team as an underdog this season, but Auburn should run at the championship game.

For South Carolina to win, they must follow the model in Alabama. Use their great-outs to hit the secondary for big plays. Blitz on the first and second pressure-Newton and force him to spend situations. Even then, they need to do it without problem for the four quarters. The approximation Spurrier-Garcia can not unravel under pressure.

Usc Football

Usc Football, Thursday night marked the first game of Lane Kiffin as coach of USC Trojan football head. The Trojans played the Warriors of Hawaii, a team from the WAC conference, at Aloha Stadium in sunny Honolulu, Hawaii.

Early in the game, it looked to be a long night for the home team like USC football players seemed more physically superior skill. However, it did not upset the Warriors, as he almost beat the great football team after the USC. If the Warriors’ starting quarterback, Bryant Moniz, not injure himself after a career playing quarterback, the game would have been much closer.

However, at the end, luckily USC beat the Warriors with a final score of 49-36.

USC was the better team tonight, but had a lot of defects that future opponents can point to in order to defeat this team highly overrated. Here are some of them.

The defensive failures

1) of the USC are young and inexperienced secondary is vulnerable to the steps in the middle

2) The defense does not address everything right

3) The weak link of the defense is true freshman Nickell Robey. He was operated overnight.

Offensive Failure

1) the dependence of Matt Barkley at # 1 WR Ronald Johnson was clear and if a team can shut Johnson, USC may have to rely on untested corridor.

2) is overrated as Mitch Mustain was benched again for Barkley in the fourth quarter, was inaccurate as it overthrew a receiver on a 2-point conversion in the 1st quarter.

3) The second and third string are littered with 4 and 5 star athletes, but many of them occurred when they were in the game. Missed tackles and blown coverages are everywhere.

4) Monte Kiffin Tampa 2 defensive scheme is also highly overrated. There were holes everywhere on defense as the third quarterback in Hawaii often exploited for points. Monte should be removed because it is 70 years of age.

2010 USC Football Season Prediction Record: 10-3 (losses to Oregon State, Stanford and Washington)
