Solomon Islands:An earthquake of magnitude 6.9 occurred near the Solomon Islands, for Saturday night.
U.S. Geological Survey said the quake at a depth of 35 km of Kira Kira. Officials say the capital Honiara, 200 kilometers from the epicenter of the earthquake was, it sure as pretty, but there were no immediate reports of damage.
The Tsunami Warning Center Pacific said there was no tsunami alert.
