Soleil Moon FryeSoleil Moon Frye, Raise your hand if you remember Punky Brewster, adorable freckled star of comedy was the same name. In case you have not been watching the actress behind the pigtails, Soleil Moon Frye is now 35 years old. She is an entrepreneur, author, mother of two girls, and more than two decades after the fame of her 80, Soleil seems a happy and well adjusted woman who has nothing but fond memories of time spent in the public eye.

Paging Lindsay Lohan, Lindsay Lohan paging. Please report the receipt of a lesson in how to be a child star does not have to convict a person into adulthood filled with public intoxication, imprisonment, and a host of paparazzi crotch shots.

In what appears to be an unusual turn of events seems Soleil Moon Frye, not only does not regret for her previous career as a child star, who also believes that time spent as Punky had any negative impact on which became in recent years. He also notes that while there are plenty of stories the media about young stars who struggle in adulthood, most do very well:

I think it’s very important to consider all the children were fantastic. More kids are great, I simply know more about the negatives. There are more positive stories coming out of Hollywood, but do not sell magazines.

Good point. Former child stars seem either end up in front of the tabloids as being arrested or sent to rehabilitation, or quietly disappear from sight and forgotten, that is going to be in good health, a life normal. It’s easy to think that every actor is set for a troubled adult life, but for every Corey is likely to be at least twenty Soleils, if that makes sense tortured metaphor.

Soleil says a key factor in her happy childhood was the way her parents made sure he had normal experiences:

(…) I believe that children should always just enjoy being a kid. One of the things my mom did was force us to go to summer camp, which was the best experience of our lives. She would not let us work in the summer, even if we wanted.

It also states that it is open to the idea of?? His own daughters pursing careers in show business, but she wants to be sure you have a realistic approach:

If you want to sing, write, design, whatever, as long as they are following their passions and hearts and do what they like then I’m all for it. It is also important for me to encourage them to be aware of the work. (…) So if you want to act or sing or whatever, will have the tools to fall back on. To have a sense of education and ethics is important.

She sure sounds nice to the earth and totally poisoned by Hollywood, right? I am not usually super interested in the books of parenting, but now wants to see her book type Chaos happy. If for no other reason than the title perfectly describes my own family life.
