Bo Burnham: Words, words, words

actors often do not have regular routines, including haiku, statistics and how Shakespeare could write porn, but Bo Burnham is not a regular comedian. Not yet 20 years old when he made this special in Boston, in the House of Blues, the talented wordsmith addresses these issues and more with a supply of rapid-fire signature, and also accompanied on guitar and piano (and the triangle!) to catchy tunes about the irony, humor, feminism, Catholicism and the men and women. – Joe Friedrich

Tim Lincecum vs Roy Halladay in Game 1 of the NLCS! It certainly sounds like tonight’s contest in Philadelphia between the Phillies and the Giants could be one of the fighting that is going to read about or witnessed by recalling that, for many years down the road. In his appearance division series against Atlanta, the Giants’ Lincecum allowed two hits and struck out 14. In his start against the Reds, Halladay came a bit short in the K (eight), choosing to be a bit stingy with the hits, threw the second no-hitter in postseason history. If you are one of the opposing fans to pitching duels, skip this. – David Roeder
