San Clemente High SchoolSan Clemente High School, San Clemente High School was evacuated on the first day of classes Wednesday after a bomb threat made on the note is at Camp Pendleton.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, Orange County, a naval officer at Camp Pendleton was reported missing, as officials check their barracks, they found a note indicating that he had, or will do, planting explosives in the school.

Sheriff’s Department spokesman Jim Amormino said the naval officer has not been located yet. His name has not yet been released.

About 3,200 students and 180 staff members were initially taken to the field of school after the stadium authorities consider safe. Due to warm weather conditions, the authorities were in the process of moving everyone in the gym.

Sheriff’s deputies were conducting a search of the campus room by room.

“Right now we do not know where the explosives are possible. They could be anywhere outside or inside the school,” Amormino said.

Parents and other community members were asked not to go to school at this time. Parents can call the school district at (949) 234-5575, 234-5583 or (949) for Spanish.
