Sam Taylor Wood Everyone Who Matters Is Happy, Aaron Johnson, 21 has 23-year Age Gap with Partner Sam Taylor-Wood, 44
Aaron Johnson has become a father for the second time.

His fiancee Sam Taylor-Wood gave birth to a baby girl earlier this month, joining their 18-month-old daughter Wylda Rae, although a name for the newborn is not yet known.

Aaron, 21, and his director partner, 44, met on the set of John Lennon biopic ‘Nowhere Boy’ in 2009 and became engaged the same year.

It is a fourth daughter for Sam, as she already has Anjelica, 14 and Jessie, five from her marriage to art dealer Jay Jopling – who was once romantically linked with Lily Allen.

Aaron has previously defended the couple against critics who say the 23-year age gap between them is too big.

He said: “I’m in love, I’m blissfully content. No one’s getting hurt. We’re in a loving relationship. We’re engaged. Everyone who matters is happy. Exactly which bit of that do I have to defend or apologize for?”

Speaking before the birth of Wylda, the actor revealed how he had always wanted to settle down and have a family.

He said: “I’ve always been really up for a baby, I knew very early on – we were very much in love, and it was something that I wanted… It came from me, but maybe it took her to want me to want one. I wanted to be grounded, to surround our kids with love. I love the two girls [Sam’s daughters], I love them to bits, I want the family, and I think that’s what she’s always wanted.”

Taylor-Wood gave birth to the couple’s first child, Wylda Rae, in July 2010.

The arrival of the tot comes a month after the heavily pregnant artist collected an Order of the British Empire (Obe) medal from Charles, Prince of Wales, in December (11).

The baby is Taylor Wood’s fourth daughter – she has two girls, Anjelica, 14, and Jessie, five – from her previous marriage to art dealer Jay Jopling.

Taylor-Wood and Johnson became engaged in 2009.

Sam Taylor-Wood & Aaron Johnson, Sam and Aaron have just had their second daughter Let’s brush right past the fact that Sam Taylor-Wood and Aaron Johnson’s union makes us feel a bit weird and get right onto the glorious announcement of their new baby’s name.

Sam gave birth to the couple’s second child earlier this month at their Primrose Hill home. This afternoon, the pair announced that their new daughter’s name is Romy Hero Johnson in an official statement. It read: “Sam Taylor-Wood and Aaron Johnson are the proud parents of Romy Hero Johnson, who was born at home in London on January 18. Both mother and daughter are well.”

Romy will have three big sisters – Sam and Aaron are parents to 18-month-old Wylda Rae, while Sam has two daughters from her previous marriage to Jay Jopling, Anjelica, 14, and Jessie, five.

The pair have a 23 year age gap

Sam, 44, and Aaron, 21, first met Aaron on the set of her film Nowhere Boy – in which Aaron played the lead role – when he was 19. The pair fell in love and got engaged in October 2009 and welcomed their first baby in July 2010.

Given their 23 year age gap, Aaron and Sam’s relationship has proven somewhat controversial, but the pair have ignored criticism and appear to be very much in love.

Speaking about their decision to have children when Aaron is so young, Sam said in the past: “Aaron, almost before anything started between us, said he wanted kids. He was very clear about wanting a family.

“We hardly go out now – it’s just us. Aaron has brought a set of values I didn’t even know I was looking for – family values.

“He is more grounded. He has been getting work offers which he has turned down because he wants to be here for the crucial first months of Wylda’s life.”
