Rugby World CupRugby World Cup, The Council voted tonight in Auckland and another 1.5 million for the Rugby World Cup in a debate which opened sharply divided on the casting vote of Mayor Len Brown.

Brown says the money was necessary to take precautionary measures to continue to offer the brilliance and excellence through the back-end of the tournament, when Auckland will host six matches of the second round eight.

He and 1.5 million, plus $ 4 million and the government, originated in the council at the time 11 for a series of measures, including a new fan zone in the fourth Wynyard on the waterfront, with the captain Cook Wharf as an overflow of the central Party Queens Wharf, Quay St closure and other costs facing the sea, and doubling the capacity of the area to 20,000 fans in Auckland.

Auckland taxpayers have already spent about 102 million in the cup – and 65 million and 37 million for infrastructure and operating costs.

The Council of Ministers has approved $ 4 million to pay for Captain Cook, St Quay and associated expenditures after the Rugby World Cup Minister Murray McCully accused the authorities of Auckland “to drop the ball,”in night of the opening ceremony.

Mr. Brown was fortunate to obtain approval for additional funds to the tie through nine, everybody.

He would have lost the vote if the city council Vision Dr. Cathy Casey, who opposed the extra money, did not leave the council chamber before the vote.

Dr. Casey said later left the meeting before attending the age of 14 years to his stepdaughter.

The Labour Party mayor also visibly relieved to get the backing of the citizens & taxpayers Councillor Noelene Raffills, the four center-right colleagues voted against the funding package.

The bitter comments of the discussion were released to Mr. McCully. National Councillor and former MP Arthur Anae said Minister Brown had insulted for telling the world that Auckland was a bunch of idiots who could not run anything and then took over unilaterally.

“I want a strong message back from him this advice: find the money and the bottom of all this to yourself,”said Mr Anae.

Sporting legend and ambassador of the council advisor Auckland, Sir John Walker, said the rugby has been great until Mr. McCully came in, took over and put the blame on the mayor.

“That was the end of it for me, so I will suggest that the Government and put the $ 5 million,”Sir John said.

Councillor Sandra Coney said he wanted the Council to be killjoys, saying it was time to be careful not to put the city at risk.

Deputy Mayor Penny Hulse said the baseline for the Council was that everyone loses.

“If people do not come [to the fan zones] we will be accused of over-engineering, and if people come and we have not done the engineering required, we will be accused of not doing right,”it said.
