Rosanne CashRosanne Cash, Rosanne Cash up to the expectations set by fans and wowed the crowd Sunday night at the State Theatre. Playing several songs from their albums, the audience traveled the world to come look at making cash.

Cheri Campbell, who has been a fan of cash for eight years, traveled from Ohio after reading a tweet in cash saying that he would be playing the State Theatre. “I happened to be on my Twitter account when I had a show in State College,” said Campbell. “I also happened to have three days off work, so I called my mother who lives in DuBois and said we were going to see Rosario Flores.”

Campbell said he never does anything very spontaneous, but could not resist the temptation to pick up and go once they learned of the next release of Cash.

When cash walked onto the stage, was greeted with loud applause from the crowd. Traveling with cash was the guitarist John Hiatt, who also received a good response from the crowd.

Geoff Godbey State College, Pennsylvania, has been a musician his whole life and Hiatt said was the best guitarist I have ever seen.

“I would definitely return to see the two work together again,” Godbey said. “She has an impressive voice.”

Godbey did not know who was effective when he came to the series, but went with some friends who said they had to see her perform.

Being a fan of Johnny Cash, Godbey said, “You can not compare to her and her father.”

During the show Cash had great stage presence and interaction with people, even taking an application live her song “God is in the roses.”

Cash also read a paragraph of her memoirs about the metaphor wrote in seventh grade, “A lonely road is a bodyguard.” These became the lyrics of the song “Sleeping in Paris”, who played after reading the paragraph from the audience.

Non-cash learned through her father Pat Kepple Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Kepple has been a fan of cash during lifetime.

“I receive e-mails from the State Theatre, and when I was playing I had to get tickets, but I forgot,” said Kepple. “Then I met some friends in the store reminded me, and I rushed home immediately to buy tickets. I was surprised not been exhausted.”

After he finished her set list effective to Hiatt, the couple was greeted with a standing ovation and a bouquet of flowers from someone in the crowd. After walking off the stage, Cash went out again to perform one encore in which he played her song, “The Wheel.”

The opening ceremony was Ridgerunners cash Allegheny University of the state. The band specializes in bluegrass music and consists of four people playing guitar, bass, banjo, violin and mandolin. The singer and guitar Hancock is a professor of bioengineering at Penn State.

The band played songs with words, and others simply let the music flow. It was mentioned that the local area, naming one of the songs “Run Lourel” inspired much of her songs. The Ridgerunners Allegheny will be giving her next gig on Thursday at the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts at the Allen Street stage.
