Taste of Buffalo:BUFFALO, NY – Throughout this week we will be a restaurant in “The Taste of Buffalo this year.”

Monday, we look at Amici in Kenmore. This Italian family restaurant has been in the same place in 2516 Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo for fifteen years, owned by Orazio and Gervasi Dominica.

This is the second year in “A Taste of Buffalo” and its entries are the most popular items from the menu. There are beautiful fried eggplant seasoned and carefully cooked “with love” by Dominica, tripe, cooked and drained four times Orazio, then covered with a sauce of Puttenesca, and there is the chile relleno filled with four different cheeses.

Amici has a lot of new clients after the presentation last year in “A Taste of Buffalo,” and the hope is the same momentum this year after thousands of diners get to taste new foods.

Tuesday, we visited Applebee’s. Twelve Applebee’s restaurants in western New York are part of a franchise group headquarted in Williamsville. The restaurant has been represented at the Taste of Buffalo for 14 years.

offers this year for Applebee’s are a Smoothy Desert Chocolate Mousse Shooter, southern barbecue shrimp, and a French Dip Slider.

On Wednesday we went to the grill in the Dome, the Dome of golf in the city of Tonawanda. Josh Edholm owner received us in his new smoker, a preview of its “Taste of Buffalo” tickets.

On Thursday we were at Joe’s Deli on Hertel and Colvin, for a look at your posts, one of which is a precedent “Taste of Buffalo” winner.

And on Friday … while visiting the Falls CafĂ©, with its delicious cuisine inspired Peurto Rica.
