Rave Motion Pictures, Fall Movie Preview? The city, Wall Street, Stone, Red, Beyond

The summer of 2010 proved to be very disappointing from a cinematic perspective. Outside the bright start, there was little to rave about. In fact, Christopher Nolan’s film, science fiction that surrounds the world of dreams is probably the only movie this summer that will be remembered in five years. “The winter season redeem the year? What comes from potential successes and / or future award winners? Here is a list of the five upcoming films I’m excited about:

The Town – Ben Affleck is a better director than he is the actor (which is constantly improving), as evidenced by Gone Baby Gone. This film is also set in the Boston area and also stars Jon Hamm, Chris Cooper and Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker) – Sign me up there. Early reviews are comparisons to Heat, a personal favorite, so it is another advantage.

Wall Street: Money never sleeps – This is a surprising choice if you knew two things about me: 1) I did not like the first of Wall Street. 2) I am not a fan of Shia Lebouf. My complaint about the first of Wall Street is that the movie dragged whenever Gordon Gecko was off the screen. My gripe about Shiite Lebouf it always plays the same arrogant punk kid. In this case, the film has widely Gecko, and a guy arrogant punk makes for good aluminum Gecko. I’ve always respected director Oliver Stone film, but often their policy in the way of a good story. He already made his point on Wall Street, so I’m interested to see where you can take this story.

Stone – Was it really a decade ago that Robert De Niro and Edward Norton underestimated connected to the game? Instead of a heist film, this is a bill thriller with De Niro playing a police officer investigating the case Norton arsonist probation. Not much to go on the plot outline, but De Niro and Norton are two of the best in the business. It’s hard to believe they were going to sign both a smaller script. My belief in this film is my faith in their cables.

Red – This sounds like The Expendables for an intelligent audience. Stallone had the opportunity of a fun sham with lots of icons in the top 80, but lost in excess of blasts in a script that was taken too seriously. In red, Bruce Willis plays a former CIA agent who is accused of murder and needs the help of his former allies – played by Helen Mirren, Morgan Freeman, and the incomparable John Malkovich. In the preview, Malkovich seems like it could have a field day in this role. I’m on board.

From now on – Starring Matt Damon and directed by Clint Eastwood, I need to follow? Eastwood has been on a roll of running for a decade. Until his recent absence (ie, The Changeling) were very watchable. When you hit (Mystic River and Gran Torino) is pure gold. Here Eastwood takes a genre outside of their comfort zone – science fiction. Damon has a sixth sense with the character of such connections to the other side. plot details are kept close to the vest, but it should be fun.
