Red Ribbon Week, Field schools in the county are standing together to say no to drugs next week, as Red Ribbon Week launches on 22 October to October 30.
Each school will ask students to participate by dressing up (or down as appropriate), promises drug-free signal, and proud to wear a red ribbon to declare that said no to drugs. And primary
On Monday, elementary students are asked to wear boots, with the theme “drugs kick to the curb.”
On Tuesday, calls upon all dressed in Hawaii, where he “says” aloha “(goodbye) to drugs.
Every Wednesday will be “crazy to be free of drugs”, and wearing her crazy.
Thursday everyone should “dream of a world free of drugs,” and come to school in their pajamas.
Friday, students are asked to bring their pirate shirts and “being a team player and stay away from drugs.”
Pittsburg Middle School
Activities of the Red Ribbon Week in middle school are “off drug Nerd”, students can come to school dressed in their best Urkel impression on Monday. Students may also sign the “I pledge to be drug free” flag on that day. Tuesday students can “say no camouflage” and come to school in camouflage. Wednesday is hippie days, and students can “peace on drugs.” Thursday’s theme is “going crazy on drugs”, and students can dress as crazy as they can. Friday is “Pirate Day.”
Pittsburg Junior High
Monday is Red Day, Tuesday is day two, Wednesday is Wacky Day, Thursday is Spirit Day and Friday is the day of Nerd.
“We will have students and faculty winners of each day,” said Terry Brown, the director of the school. “The prizes are gift cards to local businesses.”
