Google Realtime, In response to the growing popularity of social media and the increasingly dynamic nature of the Web, Google started with search results in real time on the search results page in December 2009. In April 2010, the company expanded its focus beyond the moment time and allowed users to find and play the last Twitter posts.

Real-time Google search at www.google.com resident / real-time, which offers several new features. Can also be reached through the “Updates” in the left pane of Google search results window. Google product manager Dylan Casey characterized the changes as “our most significant improvements to date.”

New capabilities include the ability to refine search results in real time by geography, that can be done either through the selection menu of options in the search pane on the left and place through links in some search results in real time.

Google has also made it easier to track a whole thread Twitter, tweets, re-tweets and other responses, through a link titled “Full conversation” that comes with certain search results in real time.

Finally, Google has integrated its real-time coverage of Google Alerts, the notification email service. Now users can create alerts for the keywords that appear in “Updates” – the messages to Twitter, Facebook, etc – and receive immediate or deferred summary e-mail notifications with links to relevant information.

Google Search real-time updates on Google Alerts are available in 40 different languages. The ability to refine search results in real time by geography and follow the conversation is currently restricted to English, Japanese, Russian and Spanish.
