Qantas Flight Schedule, Qantas Airways Ltd. said Tuesday its flight has returned to normal after the shock of grounding its fleet on Saturday and is considering “the customer acquisition opportunities” to win back lost business.
Agents welcome at the abrupt end to the trade dispute and urged investors to weigh the actions of the airline, which outperformed the broader market driven by negative European debt worries to gain another 1.1%, 5 , 5% in two days.

Australia’s flagship carrier began to return more than 100 aircraft to service Monday after the government intervened to stop the strike and force the company

“Most international passengers through the Qantas network services were housed in yesterday afternoon and overnight,” the airline said in a statement.

A Qantas spokeswoman confirmed that the domestic operations have also returned to normal and the remaining backlog of domestic passengers was cleared by Tuesday afternoon. A small jam less than 100 international passengers in the process was concerned, she said.

“We are communicating regularly with our customers during this time to apologize for the interruption of the strike has caused,” she said. “We are also looking for some other client care opportunities and commitment, but we are still in the planning stages and do not have any details at this time.”

Chief executive Alan Joyce said on Monday that the airline will have to spend money to bring back customers, including a new marketing campaign, but not be more specific. In a sign that it goes to extra length, Northern Territory Minister for Tourism Malarndirri McCarthy said he hijacked a Boeing 737 from Brisbane to Alice Springs to help stranded passengers.

“In addition to the hundreds of tourists stranded in Alice, there are 300 doctors attending a conference, and it is very important that we come to their home communities and their patients,” said the minister.

Qantas and unions representing engineers, baggage handlers and pilots were given 21 days to resolve their differences Monday, otherwise the workplace umpire Fair Work Australia will impose its own decision.

“Qantas management seem to be ready for this, and in our opinion an arbitration hearing may favor Qantas, allowing a more positive environment for negotiation, in which we believe Qantas has a strong economic justification,” said Credit Suisse.
