Latest Louisiana Powerball Winner

Robert Thibodaux, Sr. is the newest Louisiana millionaire! Thibodaux says he wanted to buy a $1 standard wager Powerball ticket, but the clerk at the Shop Rite store printed off a $2 Power Play ticket for the October 29th drawing instead. Thibodaux matched five out of six Powerball winning numbers for the second-tier prize of $200,000.

Luckily, the Powerball “mistake” made Thibodaux a millionaire! How did he do that you ask? Louisiana Lottery officials claim that a second-tier Powerball prize with the Power Play option is worth an instant $1,000,000! This lottery “mistake” was a lucky one for Robert Thibodaux. Everyone should be so lucky!
