Jermichael Finley, Jermichael Finley left the game Sunday with a sprained right knee, according to beat writer Greg Bedard.

This does not give us much to go on. Players diagnosed with knee injuries can be initially slapped with torn ligaments later. Finley has been spotted on the sideline in the third quarter on crutches. For what it’s worth, wife Jermichael Finley said “will be back soon for the Pack.” We’ll see what further testing reveals. Knee injuries can cost from 2 to 6 players over weeks.

Lesean Mccoy, Eagles coach Andy Reid on Friday officially named Kevin Kolb quart starter for Sunday’s game against San Francisco, pencil running back LeSean McCoy, and excluded from the Pro Bowl cornerback Asante Samuel.

Kolb replaces Michael Vick, who, with McCoy, suffered rib injuries in the loss to Washington last Sunday. Samuel and rookie receiver Riley Cooper has also hired a concussion in that game. Neither will make the trip west.

Joselio Hanson will replace Samuel at cornerback.

With Vick sat practice all week, Kolb will be only his second start this season after a concussion forced him to sit in the second half of the opener.

“It was a different year than I played in my head, but here we are in Week 5, and I begin,” said Kolb.

“We just need [to improve] 3-2. You leave all the other distractions involved, [and] then you do too much. I want to focus on to get out and do my best, playing quarterback, and [have] the offense putting points on the map. ”

Reid said that McCoy practiced all week and had a full workout before the team heads to San Francisco. And while McCoy was listed as questionable on the injury report, Reid said he expects the running back will be able to play “full game” on Sunday.

“It feels good,” said Reid. “We will see playing time but I think he’ll be OK to go for a normal load.”

After practice, McCoy said he felt “a little pain” but was “ready to go.”

“I am very excited to go and play football,” McCoy said. “It’s another game for us.”

With a lineup that includes receivers DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin, tight end Brent Celek, and fellow running back Mike Bell, McCoy said he does not think he would have to carry the load on Sunday.

“The good thing about this offense is, we had a lot of playmakers,” said McCoy. “I do not think there’s a lot of pressure on me. Just help each other. ”

Samuel has not passed its tests concussion, the latest one on Friday. Cooper spent his first test, but continued to show symptoms of concussion.

With Cooper, the practice squad receiver Chad Hall took reps with the first unit. For Hall to play, the Eagles must cut a player before Sunday’s game to activate him.

“It’s the same thing I did every week” preparation-wise, “Hall said. “But now I’m just going on the trip, and we’ll see what happens.

“In any case they may serve me, I’m ready.”

Kolb has been named the starter for opening night, but was unable to finish the game. Vick completed, nearly rallying the team back from a deficit, and was awarded a game later, with the starting point.

Vick led the Eagles (2-2) to victories in the two full games he played until he was injured in the first quarter against Washington. Now, Kolb will have another look.

“He did a good job” in preparing this week, Reid said Kolb on Friday. “[He] did everything we asked him to do. [It] seems at ease with the game plan, and he fired up to play. “

Austin Collie

Austin Collie, There is a chance Indianapolis Colts receiver Austin Collie will not play Sunday against Kansas City.

ESPN’s John Clayton reports that Collie is likely to miss the game. Indianapolis beat writers have not even said he may miss the game so we will wait before declaring him out but it seems that something with him.

No glue or even a limited number of Collies is good for the Chiefs.

Number of Collie – and it’s not even the No. 1 target – are impressive. In four games he has 398 receiving yards with games of 163 and 171 meters.

When it is hot, really hot.

That would be just one more receiver heads would not have to worry about.

Unfortunately for the Chiefs, it appears that the Colts can put any there and become a star (Collie itself is a good example of this).

The Colts will release its final report injuries this afternoon.
