Part Time JobsPart Time Jobs, At Baker University, some college students know an extra job to earn extra money can not hurt.

# Superior Gloria Atanmo ViSalus is a director of a nutrition company, senior Ryan McCluney is a detention officer in Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center and the Director of the House of the fraternity Sigma Phi Epsilon and junior Caleb Watts is Sporting an internship at Kansas City.

# Atanmo learned about her work with ViSalus a former wrestling coach Baker, Assistant. She attended a party ViSalus with weight loss in mind, but also saw business opportunities.

# “(ViSalus is) actually now the number one marketing in the United States, and basically get paid to party,” said Atanmo. “There (are) these things called challenge and throwing parties in homes or at home, which is basically to spread the news about a weight loss product.”

# Atanmo want to set her own hours and write their own controls. Through ViSalus, who also won awards and 10,000 and an iPhone 2.

# “I’ve started to buy my BMW,” said Atanmo. “It’s almost surreal how fast everything is happening … but you know, this is almost a full time income. If this rate continues, then I see myself retiring before I graduated.”

# Atanmo recently learned that her name appeared in this month’s edition of the national success of Home Magazine.

# McCluney found his job as a student and a Director of Sigma Phi Epsilon House. When committing to the Ottawa Police Department, learned of his work full time as a detention officer.

# McCluney said it was stressful to hear the stories of young people while learning about their history in downtown Ottawa.

# He said the classes he has had through his sociology major and minor conflict management have helped with their work, too.

# “I have the criminal justice and I am also receiving the advice, as well, and conflict resolution, so Baker’s definitely prepared me, and they have definitely used a lot of material from my classes with some of these children, “said McCluney.

# McCluney suggested to other students who want a job while going to school to understand time management. He works Sunday, Monday and Tuesday 3 to 11 pm Friday and Saturday from 11 pm-7:00 a.m.

# “It was difficult to handle, but my teachers have been working with me,” McCluney said.

# Junior Caleb Watts is a management intern with the Kansas City Sporting, classes and being the Baker University Student Senate President.

# Watts is working in the department of youth development in Kansas City Sporting and help with basic tasks like trainee to book flights to Kansas City Sporting Juniors.

# “Every Thursday after school, I go to downtown Kansas City in the Crossroads district and work until 5:30 or 18:00 and then I go home, and then every game day I’m there at least three hours before the game and maybe an hour later, “said Watts. “Usually, that’s what takes most of my time.”

Watts # found the practices through which young Nate Byarlay had the position all summer.

# Watts said he enjoys working in the sports entertainment industry, where he has been able to use the skills you have learned.

# “I have to use my business classes,” he said. “For example, every time I’m there, either marketing or business management, for example. In class you get to learn about certain things, and now I can apply my knowledge to a real working environment. I would say of the inmates I’ve seen, Baker prepares us more. ”

# Watts suggests those looking for a job or internship in touch with members of the community.
