Osama Bin Laden Children, From media reports coming in, it has now emerged that the late Al Qaeda chief as any doting father would, wanted his children to shun the treacherous path of jihad and be educated at the universities of (ironically) America and Europe.

In May of 2011 when Osama bin Laden was shot dead in Abottabad in Pakistan by US Navy Seals, three of his wives and nine children were with him. In an interview published on Sunday, Feb 12, 2012 his brother-in-law Zakaria al-Sadah informed that they were all presently kept in a three-bedroom flat in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan guarded by the ISI, Pak intelligence agency.

Zakaria informed that he had recently been reunited with his sister, bin Laden’s Yemeni fifth wife 29-year-old Amal. It may be recalled, she was the one who had been shot in the knee during the US raid on Osama bin Laden’s hideaway. According to him, the Al Qaeda leader had advised his kids “not to follow him down the road to jihad.” “He told his own children and grandchildren, ‘Go to Europe and America and get a good education’,” Zakaria disclosed to The Sunday Times.

The alleged first pictures of Osama’s young children from the compound show two sons and a daughter, and two grandsons and a granddaughter; all of whom are smartly attired. While the girls are wearing pink dresses, one is wearing a veil (Hijab).

Zakaria informed that since his arrival in Pakistan in Nov 2011 from Yemen to secure his sister’s release, he had been granted permission to see her and the children many times. The children, he said, remained frightened after the commando raid which killed their father.

Further Zakaria opined “These children have seen their father killed and they need a caring environment, not a prison – whatever you think of their father and what he has done.” Further, he stated that the kids would not eat since they were “too traumatized.” They have been provided heaters since its winter there and restricted access to television.
