Optonline:Cablevision customers who rely on the service Optimum Online e-mail have been unable to log on since Thursday afternoon – and are increasingly frustrated by the minute.
Robert Samuels, a freelance writer who uses your account Optonline for business and personal communications, said the service Optonline usually very reliable, but the disruption has felt “isolated from the world.”

“You become so dependent on it is unbelievable,” said Samuels, 73, of Piermont. “I have a Yahoo address of little use, but not the same. I have not got all the addresses of the existence and the people do not know the address so it’s not really anything.”

Cablevision issued a statement saying the company is experiencing “technical issues” and is working to solve the problem, although no deadline has yet been offered.

“Cablevision is experiencing technical problems that have led to delays e-mail and email access issues for some customers,” said spokeswoman Sarah Chaikin in a statement. “We have located the problem and hope to resolve the issue as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience to our customers, and we will update this posting as more information becomes available.”

This response, however, simply does not cut it for the client Jonathan Gewitz.

He trusts his Optonline email account to do business as an agent of accounts receivable in the industry of Health Care, but has not had access to electronic contracts and faxes you expect, which grind their work to a high.

“The injury of the inability to work is compounded by the insult of having absolutely no communication (Cablevision),” said Gewitz, 38, of Monsey. “If they respected me, let me know, but they are covering their own backs.”
