Telangana, A roundtable organized by the Telangana Praja Front (TPF) today adopted resolutions demanding the immediate withdrawal of police forces of Telangana, the introduction of a Bill in Parliament during the budget session for creation of a separate Telangana state, raising the “undeclared emergency ‘now in force in Telangana and the removal of curbs on media reports of incidents.

The round table chaired by the President of TPF Gadar also adopted another resolution that the Telangana struggle should not only be peaceful but well coordinated.

Speaking at the roundtable, Gadar stressed the need for all organizations Telangana to come together to lead a united struggle. “The movement reached a milestone. It is a time for us all join hands,”he said.

Former Congress MLC Kamalakar said that Congress was committed to creating a separate state. “All members of Telangana are exerting pressure on the Centre, he said. BJP leader Rajeswara Rao said there was no need for any other motion except one who seeks the introduction of a draft Act in Parliament. The fight must be such that Delhi will have to listen to the request, he said and stressed that there was no need for more sacrifices by the people. “They have made enough sacrifices already he said.

TDP leader Janardhan Reddy Nagami said he was ready for a united struggle Telangana Rashtra Samiti but was a party with which the TDP differences. TRS leader Jagadeeswara Rao wanted the agitation to get rid of parties who obey their orders from above and the parties whose leadership was in the hands of leaders of Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema.

Senior journalist Potturi Venkateswara Rao wanted the Centre not to convert Telangana in a police camp. The Centre should honor the feelings of the people and deliver Telangana, he said. Others who spoke: educationist Chukka Ramaiah and freedom fighter Konda Lakshman Bapuji.

Sri Krishna Committee Report, India, PM Dr Manmohan Singh is likely to constitute a group of ministers to study the Justice Srikrishna Committee report on Telangana State before making the contents public. The committee should submit its report in two volumes to the Interior Minister of the Union, MP Chidambaram on Thursday. The AP government has directed the security measures, through the infusion of 18 companies of security personnel of the Centre.

As the committee was appointed by the Ministry of Interior of the Union, it is not necessary to the public until its contents GoM submits report, sources told the newspaper. The government does not release the report without forming an opinion on the content.

According to sources, Dr Singh had a meeting with the Minister of Finance of the Union, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, Chidambaram, the Defence Minister, Mr AK Antony and Union law minister Mr Veerappa Moily, in addition to senior officials of the PMO.

According to sources, Mr Chidambaram has informed his colleagues on security arrangements made by the home ministry to ensure that the situation is not out of control. Some forces have been kept standby to meet any eventuality, “he said.

It is likely that the GoM will be headed by Mr Mukherjee, who had earlier addressed the contentious issue of UPA state bifurcation AP-1. The ministers, Mr Sharad Pawar (NCP), Ms. Mamata Banerji (Trinamool) – facing demands bifurcation in their own state – and Mr. Dayanidhi Maran (DMK) are recoverable by the GoM besides Mr Chidambaram and M. Moily.

The Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Ms Ambika Soni discussed the opinion issued by the News Broadcasters Association (NBA) using television channels to be cautious in their reporting of the report.
