Bakuman 117, Bakuman, stylized as Bakuman? Is a sh? Nen manga written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. The series follows Moritaka Mashiro talented artist and aspiring writer Akito Takagi, two ninth grade boys who want to become mangaka.

The first chapter of Bakuman was released in Japan August 11, 2008, serialized in the magazine Weekly Sh? Nen Jump. The first volume was published January 5, 2009, and ten volumes have been released from the October 4, 2010 (2010 -10 to 04) [updated]. During the first two weeks of its release, the first volume was fourth and ninth of manga sales in Japan. It is also the first manga published online by Shueisha in several languages before becoming available in print outside Japan. Bakuman begins Moritaka Mashiro, a junior high student, leaving his laptop computer containing a picture of his classmate and crush Miho Azuki classroom. When he notices and returns to the classroom after school, his classmate Akito Takagi is waiting for him with the laptop and said he believes Azuki Mashiro likes too. Masahiro Takagi ends up believing that Azuki also likes. Takagi then tries to convince Mashiro to become a mangaka (manga artist) and draw the art for the stories he wrote. However, Mashiro is due reluctant to his disillusionment with modern society and the fate of his uncle, a former serial manga artist who died of overwork while trying to regain that status.

Later, Takagi Mashiro calls telling him he will confess to Azuki, Mashiro goes home to find Azuki Takagi expected. Takagi then calls for Azuki and confesses to her that he and Mashiro are intended to be mangaka. Mashiro then learns that she wants to be a seiy? (Voice actor) and thinking about the romantic misadventures of his uncle, proposes to Azuki who agrees to the condition that they marry after two to realize their dreams. With a goal before him Mashiro aims to make this dream a reality. Its goal is to have voice Azuki heroin animated adaptation of his manga. To have the highest probability of success, he and Takagi vow to become serialized in Weekly Sh? Nen Jump and try to create the most popular manga in this magazine.

After presenting numerous shots of Shueisha, Mashiro and Takagi start with the first published series, Detective Trap, which was eventually canceled due to his declining popularity. Shortly after beginning work on their next series, Run, Daihatsu Tanto! A gag manga. Decide that the series will never be popular; they end the series and begin their third series, The Perfect Crime Party.

Carlo Santos Anime News Network praised the conflicting views of the protagonists and is surprised that the series is successful, not only as a manga about manga, but the slice of life series about the dreams of youth.
