Oklahoma University, Oklahoma State University officials say more and 17 million in private donations will be used for the construction of a new business school and a center to improve student retention.
President Burns Hargis Oklahoma State gifts and commitments announced at a public celebration on Friday.
Authorities say more and $ 15 million in commitments will be used to help build a new house than 200,000 square feet to the Spears School of Business. A 4200 square foot new center will be named Chesapeake Energy, and 5 million donated to the school.
The authorities also announced two couples gifts help the learning and the Student Success Opportunity.
A $ 1.25 million gift from Carl and Marilynn Thoma and Benbrook and 1 million from Paul and Ann Milburn will go to support teachers in the center.
