NFL Picks Week 1

NFL Picks Week 1NFL Picks Week 1, After an unsettling off-season has inspired the haunting images of Sunday afternoons spent time with the family – rather than football – everything is, as it should.

Fantasy football owners breathe a little easier once the league that makes billions out a way to distribute wealth.

The past month has been wild. Once the players and the league reached an agreement on a new collective agreement, the struggle to squeeze in training camp, a program of pre-season, and a frenzied free agency period vaulted us through August and in this opening week.

As this space is presented as a piece of prediction of each week, let’s say this with certainty about the Super Bowl this season.

One: there will be two teams playing.

Two: one to be the AFC and one from the NFC.

As you were.

Thursday

New Orleans (0-0) at Green Bay (0-0) (-4)

The only way to stem these two franchises exceptional is ask – what is a racing game? With Drew Brees face to face with Aaron Rodgers, the air filled with missiles overnight. Both defenses are pretty decent too – although the advantage goes to the Bowl champions latest Super. If anyone can conjure up a land attack here (a strange concept for both), will open with a win.

Take the Packers.

Sunday

Atlanta (0-0) at Chicago (0-0) (3)

Matt Ryan and company picked up much needed experience in the playoffs last season. Out of all the candidates of the Super Bowl, the Falcons have done a good job of hiding in the bush. Ryan comes another set of weapons with rookie WR Jones July. A good test for the hawks on the right of the door.

Take the Falcons.

Cincinnati (0-0) at Cleveland (0-0) (-6.5)

Browns are improving, while the Bengals continue to hold in the NFL, “huh?” Title as the talented team who cannot understand things.

Take the Browns.

Buffalo (0-0) Kansas City (0-0) (-6)

Another long season for the Bills starting in the Midwest against the NFL season, the team’s most improved past. Touch of fantasy: You may only want to think about starting this week Jamaal Charles. Just saying.

Take the Chiefs.

Philadelphia (0-0) at St. Louis (0-0) (5)

You’ve heard the story – the Eagles came out and signed Pro Bowl legends 57 and will run throughout the NFL going 16-0. We like this better – the Rams will surprise a lot this season. Eagles should win, but this will be adjusted.

Take the Rams.

Detroit (0-0) at Tampa Bay (0-0) (-1.5)

Much love for the Lions this season. Matt Millen is gone and, finally, the fans that suffer in Michigan have a potential winner. Tampa was the hardest working team in the last football season. They are young and improving as well.

Take the Lions.

Tennessee (0-0) at Jacksonville (0-0) (-2)

David Garrard is gone, that is, the program is in the hands of Luke McCown in Jacksonville, where everything is done on the cheap. In a league so full of riches, the Jaguars do not belong.

Take the Titans.

Pittsburgh (0-0) at Baltimore (0-0) (-2.5)

There’s nothing like an easy task to begin with (cough). Let’s start the fight in the AFC North. The Steelers have the number Ravens seemingly forever, and we will have peace of Ben Roethlisberger focus on Joe Flacco, who want to impress the locals with a set of fireworks.

Take the Ravens.

Indianapolis (0-0) at Houston (0-0) (-8.5)

I guess Vegas heard Peyton Manning is a no go for the opener. Texans can quickly grab the AFC South in his absence.

Take the Texans.

Carolina (0-0) at Arizona (0-0) (-7)

Kevin Kolb started a kind of my right glove before my fantasy pick last week. Given that gets to throw the best receiver in the game (Hi Larry Fitzgerald!), I’m steamed.

Take the Cardinals.

Minnesota (0-0) at San Diego (0-0) (-8.5)

A number of experts are picking the Chargers for the title. Given their relatively weak division, San Diego at least one child’s play for the playoffs.

Take the Chargers.

Seattle (0-0) at San Francisco (0-0) (-5.5)

Pete Carroll to live or die with Tarvaris Jackson for at least the first few games. If Sidney Rice (shoulder) cannot go, will be a start winding for Hawk fans.

Take the 49ers.

NY Giants (0-0) at Washington (0-0) (3)

Want to get an increase in the Giants? Just say “ACL.” This has been a terrible season before the Big Blue, who has lost defensive holding Terrell Thomas and Jonathan Goff for the year with torn ACL. Corner Bruce Johnson and Brian Witherspoon also toast. The door is open for Washington here.

Take the Redskins.

Dallas (0-0) at NY Jets (0-0) (-4)

Fans crying over the impending end of HBO’s Entourage and celebrities fill the color with a Sunday night showdown between the clubs and ostentatious. In this line, the Jets expect Vinny Chase this season as the boys of “trying to avoid the stigma Johnny Drama.

Take the Jets.

Monday

New England (0-0) at Miami (0-0) (7)

It must be hard being a “good” AFC East (like dolphins), because there is zero room to maneuver. The Pats are great once again.

Take the Patriots.

Oakland (0-0) at Denver (0-0) (-3)

Al Michaels tells NBC that the Raiders will not win another Super Bowl as long as owner Al Davis is alive. Do you believe in miracles? No, I have to go with Michaels here.
