More Schefter: Teams can begin signing unrestricted free agents Tuesday at noon ET, but the contracts would not take effect until August 2. Teams can start talking trades Monday afternoon. Any trade became official on Saturday, July 30.

The players begin to report their teams in a phased program. Another league source said it was unclear what the teams are allowed to do between the opening of the camps and 02 August, when the year begins officially in the league.

According to the proposed schedule, 10 teams will report on Wednesday, Thursday, 10 more and 10 additional teams on Friday. New York Jets and Houston Texans two teams would be the last report on Sunday.

The report dates back would be scheduled for 14 days before the teams play their preseason games in the first place. Of course, all this is subject to the approval of the NFLPA, which has a schedule of conference call for 11:00 a.m. EDT.
