Apparently, during the last five seasons predictions of the NFL, the Chargers have been on the short list of elite preseason only fall short of the NFL playoffs.

San Diego Chargers AFC West property and finished the regular season NFL 2009 predictions with a 13-3 record, but, again, suffered a disappointing defeat in the first round of the playoffs, this time in home against the New York Jets, 17-14.

That loss led to an NFL predictions offseason of change. Gone are the superstar running back LaDainian Tomlinson, talent and cornerback Antonio Cromartie. This team is the quarterback Philip Rivers and the players have raved about his leadership abilities during the OTA and training camp. The running game is led by first-round draft pick Ryan Matthews, with Darren Sproles will reprise his role as the second step change. The transition is accompanied be as lethal as ever with tight end Antonio Gates and Vincent Jackson wide against Malcolm Floyd and all returnees.

The defense is led by impact players such as Shawne Merriman, Shaun Phillips, Luis Castillo and Quentin Jammer. The 3-4 defense puts a lot of pressure on the quarterback hand, resulting in 35 sacks last year, and the secondary did not give up a ton of big plays but does not make much either.

Intangibles “, all this equipment. Still have not learned to get over the hump with this group of players and Norv Turner has yet to get his team to the Promised Land.” The Chargers will be under enormous pressure to play in the Super Bowl this year and how the players and coaches respond to that pressure could tell the real story in 2010.
