KFOR, The commander of the Kosovo Force, General Erhard Bühler visited several places today in northern Kosovo to be informed about the situation and developments in this region and to exchange information and views withthe politicians and local decision makers.

It began with an inspection of the troops of KFOR Multinational Battle Group North among them soldiers from the French, Greek and Moroccan contingent.

Then he went to the village Bistrica / Bistrica to see representatives of the mainly Albanian populated place. He spoke to local people and officials of this community.

He was informed that the situation is calm and stable.

This visit was followed by an exchange of information and views with the Secretary of State in the Ministry for Kosovo, Oliver Ivanovic in Leposaviq / Leposavic [see previous press release].

The visit to the North ended with a meeting with mayors and city decision-makers in northern Zvecan / Zvecan. On this occasion too, the opinions about the current security situation were exchanged.

In all the meetings the participants agreed that everything must be done to maintain a stable and secure environment and to prevent incidents of violence and crime.

Tulsa Earthquake

Tulsa Earthquake, The United States Geological Survey reported a small earthquake that struck Oklahoma, shortly after 9 o’clock

Center of the earthquake was estimated at about six miles east of Norman, Oklahoma, south of Oklahoma City and near the south shore of Lake Thunderbird.

The earthquake was measured at about 4.3 Moment Magnitude Scale.

Two people were reported to suffer injuries from the earthquake.

A man fell from a ladder and is already in good shape, according to Emergency Medical Services Authority spokeswoman Lara O’Leary. The incident in detail to others is still unknown, but is in good condition, too.

Damage from the earthquake is mostly on reports of windows broken by the Oklahoma Emergency Management.

In the Tulsa area, no reports of damage were received by the torrents of phone calls and emails went to the newsroom KJRH moments after the quake.

One resident, Daniel Stines, shared her experience through its New Share Tool 2 on his mobile phone. He said, “My bed shook for 3 seconds and the doors and shook the image too. He felt foolish. I’ve been on this earth for 31 years and this is my first earthquake.”
