That is why I am at their service at the feast of our New Year’s Eve….. The most tedious of this recipe is the onions caramelize. I’ll link to a great march forward and let me tell you, go ahead and make a big batch and then use them whenever possible. Hamburger topping, the topping on baked brie to throw on a salad, you’ll be glad you made them.

The caramelized onions add sweetness will live with this entry.

Ingredients:
2 boxes/30 count frozen mini phyllo shells
1 / 2 sweet onion, thinly sliced, cut in half
4 oz reduced fat cream cheese, softened at room temperature
4 oz feta cheese

1. Start caramelize the onions.

2. While the onions are caramelized, stir together cream cheese and feta in a bowl and mix well.

3. When the onions are caramelized done, place them on a plate or bowl to cool slightly and preheat oven to 350 degrees.

4. Remove phyllo shells in the freezer, scoop a teaspoon of the mixture bit of cheese in each tart, garnish with half a teaspoon of onion. Bake for 8-10 minutes and serve.

The hostess with the mostess would probably serve a cheesecake with cranberries and banana for dessert at New Year’s Eve Party
