Bob Newhart, George Robert Newhart (born September 5, 1929), known professionally as Bob Newhart is an American comedian and actor. Noted for his impassive and slightly stammering delivery, Newhart came to prominence in the 1960s when his stand-up comedy album The Button-Down Mind of Bob Newhart was a bestseller worldwide and reached # 1 on Billboard in pop music – he remains the 20 best-selling album in history [8]. The monitoring of the album, the pushdown Mind Strikes Again! Has also been a huge success, and held two albums on the Billboard # 1 and # 2 spots simultaneously, a feat unmatched until the 1991 release of Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II by Guns N hard rock band ‘ Roses [6].
