Sec Championship Game 2010

November 14, 2010 by · Comments Off on Sec Championship Game 2010

Sec Championship Game 2010, With the 2,010 participants Championship Game SEC in place now is the time to focus our attention on the game itself.

Like most team sports, which ultimately boils down to individual performances, sometimes the clutch. The results make the difference between the champions and runners.

This year’s cast of characters that can make or break Auburn, the Western Division champion, is bigger than just Cameron Newton, Mr. throughout 2010. The unbeaten and highly ranked Tigers rely more on the legs of his quarterback.

Some would argue that South Carolina, the representative of the Eastern Division, is a more diverse and balanced team despite its record of 08.03. Gamecocks can win with the run or the pass, and have shown they have a defense that can respond if asked.

Let’s look at ten players, in all likelihood, determine who is the 2010 SEC champion will be.

Nick Fairley

Nick Fairley leads the SEC in tackles for loss. He ranks third nationally in that category.

And this from a team that is supposed to have a weak defense.

Fairley leads a team of Auburn defense that has shown steady improvement throughout the year. After allowing 169.8 through the first 10 games last season, Auburn now ranks third in the SEC and 18th nationally against the run this season, allowing just over 114 yards per game.

And it all starts with Fairley. He is a beast, and South Carolina would do well to get away from him as much as possible.

Auburn defense has been able to get into the opposition backfield at will, the Tigers rank 24th nationally in tackles for loss, make an average of 6.9 TFL per game.

Think of it this way, the series of two yards less than the average allowed during a game.

Even if South Carolina blocks it, the threat of Fairley get a sack against Stephen Garcia could give Ball The Ol ‘coach nightmares.

Lee Ziemba

Of course, line up behind Cam Newton, oh, say the Western Kentucky offensive line and not get his offensive production.

Newton leads the Heisman race largely because he is running behind what Phil Steele called the fifth-best offensive line in the nation.

That offensive line has four starters returning who have a combined total of 149 career starts. Their leader is the leading candidate All-American and Outland Trophy candidate Lee Ziemba alerts (No. 73, supra).

Ziemba has started all 49 games since he came to face in their first year real.

Newton can be many things, but not a dummy. He will run after the guy who can make holes in the defensive front of South Carolina throughout the day.

Watch for that match along the game, you will not be disappointed.

Stephon Gilmore

Take a guess which SEC school leads the league in rushing defense?

It is South Carolina.

South Carolina is No. SEC, a land defense, holding opposing offenses to 104.6 yards per game on the ground. Opponents have been held under 100 yards rushing in seven of the top ten games. They held Florida to just 35 yards rushing.

Under Steve Spurrier, the Gamecocks are 18-3 when holding opposing offenses under 100 yards rushing.

This may seem like a trap for Auburn vaunted rushing attack.

When the Tigers face South Carolina for the first time, was the cornerback Stephon Gilmore, who led the team in tackles. In fact, he is the team leader on defense, and added another interception against Florida to win the title of the SEC East.

Gilmore is found in almost all watchlists defense hardware for which you qualify. Bednarik, Hornung, Maxwell, Nagurski and Thorpe.

He will be roaming the secondary and Cameron Newton waiting for errant shot. He has already executed a subsequent selection of six of the season.

I’d like to at least one more.

Emory Blake

In a season of superlatives, Emory Blake is setting a new standard. Against Louisiana Monroe, Blake Auburn set the record for longest play from scrimmage on a 94-yard catch and run for a touchdown.

Not the highest receptor Tigre (6’1?), Blake runs good routes and has good hands. Is third on the team in both receptions and yards, but is tied for touchdowns and has the best average yards per catch on the computer.

And when the Tigers of South Carolina met earlier this year, Blake had his best game of the year by recording a season and three receptions for 33 yards including a 12-yard TD catch and run in 4 th quarter proved to be the difference in the game.

Against the Georgia Bulldogs, Blake matched his total of three receptions for 64 yards.

It seems that Tiger is doing very hot when you need it most Auburn. And Cam Newton will look to sophomore for big deep plays.

Wes Byrum

The name of the record holder of kickers in a season and overall career record score for the Tigers of Auburn.

If you said Wes Byrum, you’d be correct.

And if you talk about the Tigers being undefeated, we should remember that it was Byrum, who has won two games for the team. Beat Clemson in overtime at the beginning of the year and beat Kentucky in six weeks.

In fact, Byrum’s kick the game winner five times in his career.

If the championship game of the SEC comes down to a field goal, did not want to be Gene Chizik and not Steve Spurrier? We have nothing against PK Lanning fighting cocks’ Spencer, but we would like the type that experience through starting when the time expires.

Alshon Jeffery

In a world of diversity of views we have in college football, an element is probably not for debate.

Alshon Jeffery is the first wide receiver taken in the project next year in the Football League.

The second super into this past weekend as leader of the SEC in receiving yards per game (114 yards) and receptions per game (6.6).

And from a school that produced Sidney Rice and Sterling Sharpe, Jeffery certainly break the school record for receiving yards in a season next week.

He played very well last time these two schools met, was the fourth game best receiver in Carolina history with 192 yards on eight catches and saw personal highs in both categories.

If Garcia has time and Lattimore defense can climb, look for Jeffery to have a good game in the cozy confines of the Georgia Dome.

Mario Fannin

In a way, this team was going to be Mario Fannin.

The Letterman three years and older is in the classification of land and career receiving yards. In fact, Fannin is the leader in receptions and receiving yards by a runner. This feat earned it second team all-sectors nods earlier this year.

But Auburn become a different team with Newton in the center and the focus shifted to other players. That and an early season injury limited him a little. Despite all this, Fannin has maintained its leadership role.

Sure, he is not carrying the ball up in the backfield (which receives less than half the first year is Michael Dyer), but can still be lethal Fannin and a good shot against Newton coding style.

While others may get the leads in the championship game of the SEC, we feel the new senior management wants to go out in style and can have a good game.

Esteban Garcia

Against No. 1 Alabama six weeks ago, Stephen Garcia had the game of his life. Coach Steve Spurrier praised his quarterback, calling the performance once in a lifetime experience.

Garcia has been in Spurrier’s doghouse more than your attic. He has even spent time in Spurrier toilet. This is because it makes big plays incredibly stupid stupid one minute and playing the next. And for a coach who strives for perfection and get headaches when he does not understand, Garcia is a migraine.

Quarterback is a Jekyll and Hyde.

But Garcia was intensified again against Florida, leading the Gamecocks to their first game ever SEC title. Of course, having the likes of Marcus Lattimore behind you and Jeffery Alshon divided widthwise help.

You must bring your best game against Auburn if the ‘Cocks are to remove the annoying.

We believe that the junior, who ranks among the top five in almost every major passing categories in school history, it plays well.

Unless Mr. Hyde appears.

Marcus Lattimore

How important is South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore coach Steve Spurrier?

Put it this way, the Gamecocks have not been in the SEC Championship before he did. Lattimore makes the show go. He has given the baseball team Ol ‘Coach is a dimension of his never enjoyed before and allowed him to open his patented attack happens.

People in South Carolina they are compared to the legendary Heisman winner George Rogers. And why not? The super freshman has rushed for over 180 meters each, against Georgia and Tennessee, and then added 212 against Florida.

Furthermore, he has established a team record for rushing touchdowns this season.

And, against the defending SEC champion Alabama, did not reign Heisman winner Mark Ingram fleeing with the game. It Lattimore.

We believe it can put the number Decent against Auburn if they receive help, and he might be the difference maker if the ‘Cocks are upset the Tigers.

Cam Newton

Apart from Denard Robinson of Michigan for a couple of games, that the nation has been so thrilling for fans to see and frightening for opponents to see how it has Cameron Newton?

Nobody.

That’s why the signal caller Auburn is the first in line to become the last Tiger to receive the Heisman Trophy.

Auburn fans warned the nation that was the best player on earth. All Newton has done is prove them right.

And he has done against the defenses of the SEC, which is supposed to be geared to stop this sort of thing.

Nope. No one has done. However.

And do not think South Carolina will be, either.

Therefore, we believe that Cameron Newton will play in the championship game of the SEC will have the greatest impact on the outcome of the game.

Fresno State Football, The famous of all the parties of the College Football season was among the popular teams Cincinnati Bengals and the Bulldogs of Fresno State. An incredible amount of people was present at the Stadium in the Bulldogs of Fresno State who came to see an exciting match. The players show no sign of laziness in them, but everyone was determined to win the game. The unfortunate team that lost the game Cincinnati Bengals, who were defeated by 14 points for the football team at Fresno State. The result at the end of this interesting game was 28-14. This great defeat broke the winning streak of the Cincinnati Bengals to win 18 previous games in his career.

The defeat has really done very poorly to the Bengals as their image of the winners have been damaged and, above all, his winning streak has been broken due to the inefficiency of some players only. Initially the game

was dominated by the Cincinnati Bengals, but unfortunately became a little more confidence about their experience was not enough to defeat his opponent. The football team at Fresno State was losing the match by a score of 14-0 in the starting line, but recovered its strength and tied on this matter before halftime. The most important fact was that the football team was playing Fresno State in their homeland and gave many opportunities to address the defense of the Bengals easily. The Fresno State Bulldogs have made a record of winning the game at a point where they were being defeated by his opponent.
