Celtics coach Doc Rivers said he was rooting for both of his guys to reach the final, but would not choose a favorite to win. After all, he has bigger issues on his mind.

He will coach the East in the All-Star Game, which means it will try to keep his players happy while giving few minutes to fairly major stars like LeBron James, Dwight Howard and Derrick Rose. Rivers said he had not decided whether he would play all four together or separate.

Garnett Howard has suggested, “Because I do not want to play center.”

Pierce smiled at the thought of joining Howard Boston Big Oven for a night – and beyond.

“It would be nice in a green uniform,” said Pierce.
