Motorola New RazrMotorola New Razr, Earlier this week, Motorola took the wraps off the new Razr, an update to Android the next generation of the classic flip-phone. In a press release, Motorola touted the thinness of the new Razr Droid – about 0.27 inches thick as paper – along with a Kevlar-coated frame Gorilla Glass screen, and dual-core 1.2 GHz processor. Today, the first hands-on previews have begun to seep through the Web and, judging by the buzz soon, the new RAZR is a phone to see.
“I always go back and forth about the size of the screen,” writes Dan Rosenbaum, Computerworld. “While I like the ability to fully operate a phone with one hand, the actual state more bigger screen [the Razr] is not without its appeal. If you’re used to an iPhone, feel like a Razr large slab of glass, if you are an Android client, yet will notice the thinness “.

Rosenbaum takes special note of Super AMOLED screen, “which is something that has been seen only in Samsung phones are thin These displays beautiful, light and energy-stingy -.. Three things that were clearly designed objectives Razr”

More from CNET, Nicole Lee notes that the Razr Droid has “immediate wow factor.” The dual-core processor in the Razr, Lee adds, the performance of “a smooth browsing experience. We flipped through screens with speed, without delay transition at all. We did not notice any slowness in launching and multitasking between multiple applications, either. ”

The new RAZR, which is available for pre-order later this month, is expected to be available in early November, put in direct competition with the recently released iPhone 4S. How do you argue against Apple device? Engadget Brian Heater only tiptoe around the answer, noting that the iPhone is “really beefy” compared to the Razr.

The Razr, heater, he says, is “just a big phone, surprisingly light. It is a slick, fast, thin phone, it certainly seems worthy of the name RAZR [that] we all know and love.”
