Careerbuilder, (CareerBuilder.com) – As someone who does not know a Klingon from a Jedi, I watched with amazement as friends who discussed deductible is higher: “Star Wars” or “Star Trek”.

Normally, I feign interest for a few minutes, and then turn a deaf ear when someone starts to imitate Yoda. The next time I’m in this situation, I could begin to take notes instead.

Interviewers ask the same tired old questions again and again, we ask questions unique to jobseekers. Some people who apparently have no good answer, and job seekers said they were asked their favorite “Star Wars” or “Star Trek”.

We are not talking about the usual scratches his head or on jobs where this information is relevant, like a comic book store or special affects studio. No, organizations of all sizes and in a variety of industries asking unusual questions for respondents.

Zappos.com, the online shoe vendor known for its relaxed culture and eccentric employees, is one of the most interesting applications you’re likely to see. According to Christa Foley, a recruiting manager for the company, you may be asked the following:

• If you were a superhero, who would you be and why?

• If every time you enter a room of your theme song played, what would it be and why?

• On a scale of 1-10, how you’re weird? Why did you choose that number?

• What has been your best moment MacGyver?

• If you saw someone stealing a watch, would you report it? Otherwise, the amount you report?

Unusual, right? Apart from the last question, which is conceivable factors in your trust, others are fun and allow you to be creative. These puzzles are generally used so that employers can see how your mind works, but they also make you wonder if the employer is to take you seriously or just playing with you.
