MLB Trade RumorsMLB Trade Rumors:In what could be a very strange situation, there have been rumors that Cliff Lee, who is scheduled to pitch against the Yankees in New York late tonight, could be treated by the Seattle Mariners to New York before the end of order week.

It may even be possible that flies out of the Pacific Northwest and is displayed in Anaheim for the All-Star Game in pinstripes.

Reports have the New York primary shipping prospect Jesus Montero and Class AA second baseman David Adams to Seattle for the coveted lefty.

The measure seems to make sense for the Mariners. Seattle has made it clear that any deal involving Lee would have to include a prospect in exchange for the catch.

Montero fills that need.

However, although a move by Lee would be a no-brainer for any team could assemble the right package for him, gives the Yankees over six innings for an average five-man rotation.

Many are already speculating that Javier Vazquez, whose second stint in New York has been erratic to say the least, it is treated, either to much needed bullpen help or other offensive force before the trade deadline on July 31.

However, the agreement is still in its infancy stages, and New York questions about their rotation can be answered if and when everything is finalized.
