Mitt Romney’s Wife

Mitt Romney’s Wife, “He came in to the state with a three billion dollar budget deficit,” said Ann Romney. On the campaign trail in New Hampshire, Ann Romney spent about 54 seconds talking about her husband’s political resume. “Now on to fun stories about Mitt.”

Mitt Romney’s wife of four decades is not the most polished public speaker — she admits it does not come naturally — but being natural is her strong suit.

She exudes warmth and authenticity, qualities not always attributed to the candidate.

“We started dating in high school, I fell in love and we feel in love hard and he likes to say, very nicely and sweetly that we’re still sweethearts which we are.”

At a time when some Republican candidates have made headlines for a history of alleged affairs and divorces, Ann Romney stands as a shining example of marital bliss.

“I think the motto you could say Mitt and I lived by was — no other success can compensate for failure in the home and that’s how we lived our life.”

Other candidates’ spouses have also been out on the trail, but Ann Romney shares the most compelling story of her struggles with multiple sclerosis and her husband’s devotion.

“You start feeling like you’re not worth anything and that what’s the point of living… He really kind of shook me up and said look. I know you kind of think that life is over, but its not. Together we can do anything and we’ll be fine as long as we’re together.”
