Milwaukee BrewersMilwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Brewers crashed near the road. Located in a quiet clubhouse after the game, were unanimous in their relief and optimism that their next game at home.

Randy Wolf took a first-inning grand slam by Ryan Roberts, Chris Young homered twice and the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Brewers 10-6 on Wednesday night to force Game 5 of the NL division series.

The decisive game will be Friday in Milwaukee, where the Brewers won the series in the first two games and had the best home record in baseball during the regular season (57-24). NL The 19 previous teams to take a 2-0 lead in a best of five, all advanced.

The Brewers were beaten by a combined 18-7 in two games in Phoenix after beating the Diamondbacks 13-5 in two games in Milwaukee. Brewers pitchers allowed 24 hits in the last two games, on Wednesday 13.

“Really the last two days that really opened bats,” said Jerry Hairston Jr. from the Diamondbacks Milwaukee. “Give them credit. We knew it would be a difficult series. Nothing is easy.”

Colin Cowgill drove in two runs with a single pinch of Wolf in the third.

Carlos Gomez hit a two-run homer against the Diamondbacks reliever David Hernandez in the eighth inning to make it a more respectable final. It is the sixth home run of the Milwaukee series. Arizona has seven.

Hairston Jr. had two hits, including an RBI double for Milwaukee. Ryan Braun doubled in a run for the Brewers, who had 11 hits but stranded eight runners.

Friday’s contest will be a rematch of Game 1 Ian Kennedy to start for the Diamondbacks and Milwaukee’s Yovani Gallardo. Gallardo allowed one run and four hits in eight innings in the Brewers 4-1 in the match of the series.

“These two games are certainly not typical of what we have done throughout the year,” said Milwaukee manager Ron Roenicke. “And I think I come back and pitch Friday should be good for us.”

Prince Fielder hit a home run against Kennedy, and eager to return to the noisy atmosphere at Miller Park.

“That was the whole thing from the beginning is to get the advantage of playing at home,” Fielder said. “Hopefully we can take it.”

But the Milwaukee pitching deserted in the desert, like the fans for Game 4. Attendance at Wednesday night was 38,830, about 10,000 less than the share of the capacity of the previous night. Diamondbacks officials were quick to point out that 10,000 tickets were sold within 24 hours after Tuesday night 8-1 in the victory.

The Wolf 35-year-old was on the ropes from the beginning after the Brewers gave him a 1-0 lead in the first.

“My mandate was awful today,” he said. “The curve could not throw a strike at all, so I put in a corner. I think every batter he got behind in the count. When this is done, it is difficult to succeed. The challenge today is all these careers that I came up with two outs. ”

Willie Bloomquist singled on a plague of all series of Milwaukee, was followed by an out, four-pitch walk to Justin Upton and a single by Miguel Montgero to load the bases.

Rookie Paul Goldschmidt, whose grand slam made it a 8-1 Diamondbacks’ star in Game 3 victory, struck out looking. Wolf still had to face Roberts, whose grand slam in the next game-to-last regular season helped Arizona rallied from a 6-1 in the 10th inning against the Dodgers to win 7-6 .

Roberts did it again, reaching a 3-1 pitch into the left field line in the Diamondbacks’ bullpen and was 4-1 in a hurry. A moment later, young solo shot in the left-center seats just to the left of the sign 413 feet, made it 5-1.

“We will not give up, even when we’re down 2-0,” said Young, who drove in three runs with two homers first playoff game in the history of the Diamondbacks. “In the clubhouse, still believed he could. By the time our goal was to return to Milwaukee. We have come to that, so it’s a toss-up today. We’ll be ready to go.”

Aaron Hill also hit a solo homer. The four home runs in a game was also a playoff record for Arizona.

The Diamondbacks became the second team – the Dodgers in 1977 – to hit grand slams in consecutive playoff games.

However, the Brewers went ahead against spraying Arizona starter Joe Saunders, managing a career in each of the first three innings. Jerry Hairston Jr. ‘s RBI double in the third cut the lead to 5-3. That’s as close as Milwaukee would get Cowgill, hit by Saunders, singled in two runs off Wolf with two outs in the third and the lead increased to 7-3.

Wolf allowed seven runs and eight hits in three innings, his shortest outing of the season. He walked three and struck out two. Saunders also were three, allowing three runs and five hits, struck out two and walked one.

Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson chose to put 22-year-old right-hander Jarrod Parker in the game to launch the sixth, only second major league appearance. The Brewers loaded the bases with one out in a single Yuniesky Betancourt, a walk to George Kottaras and a single by pinch hitter Casey McGehee.

Brian Shaw Parker and Corey Hart relieved almost equalized with a swing, its success to the wall in the bottom left-center was hit by left fielder Gerardo Parra, limiting damage to a sacrifice fly that cut the lead to 7 -4.

Rickie Weeks went 0-for-5 and is one of his 15 in the series. The All-Star second baseman did not want to talk about is fighting.

“We’re not winning ball games right now, the last two days,” he said. “We need to return on Friday and try to get a win.
