Miley Cyrus: Miley Cyrus & ‘Punk’d’

Miley Cyrus: Miley Cyrus & ‘Punk’d’, Many of life’s greatest pleasures begin with the phrase, “Babe, there’s two n*ked people in my car right now.” So we’ve heard, anyway – and, as such, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s upcoming episode of Punk’d brings with it so much golden promise (and, potentially, various public indecency violations).

Cyrus, like Justin Bieber before her, is one of a revolving series of hosts on MTV’s upcoming Punk’d reboot. And in a newly released promo, we get to watch her prank her Hunger Games boyfriend, Hemsworth. Why this involves hiring two strangers to get n*ked in her car, we’re not sure. But it seems to alarm Hemsworth enough to drag the police into things.

Other people alarmed by Cyrus’s teenage hijinx? Creationists! Cyrus tweeted the following quote days ago: “You are all stardust. You couldn’t be here if stars hadn’t exploded . . . So forget Jesus. Stars died so you could live.” And instead of applauding the 19-year-old for tweeting a quote by theoretical physicist Laurence Krauss, the apparently sizable Hannah Montana demographic that intersects with the Christian right resulted in many heads exploding, like so many cosmos-creating stars.

Angry tweets ensued, to which Cyrus has since responded – albeit without a prank engineered by Punk’d’s Ashton Kutcher. As she wrote Tuesday: “How can people take the love out of science and bring hate into religion so easily?” she asked, capping her message with a quote from Albert Einstein. “It makes me sad to think the world is this way. Like Einstein says, ‘Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind.'”
