Marcus Vick, An arrest warrant for former University of Virginia football star Marcus Vick has been issued by Virginia state judge, David Pugh. The 27-year-old younger brother of Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick failed to show up at a Virginia jail earlier this week to begin serving his 10-day sentence.
This is not the first time Marcus Vick has broken the law by failing to show up. His 10-day jail sentence is a result of his failure to appear for two court dates for driving with a suspended license, CBS News reports.
On Jan. 22, 2010, Marcus Vick was pulled over in Newport News, Va., and charged with driving with a suspended license for the second time. His court date was set for Feb 26, 2010. But when Feb. 26 rolled around, Vick was nowhere to be found. A warrant for his arrest was issued.
The college football star resurfaced and turned himself in early in April of the same year. Vick was released on a $2,500 bond and given a new court date for later in the month. But things did not go any differently this time around, and Vick again did not show up at court for his hearing.
