Espn3, ESPN3.com is showing a renewed interest in the business of boxing, with three notable fights abroad set for live broadcast on the broadband network.

Saturday’s fight between WBA middleweight Felix Sturm and New York-based Dominican challenger Giovanni Lorenzo is the first of the attacks on the atmosphere, starting at 3:30 pm EDT. On September 11, Wladimir Klitschko defends the world heavyweight championship against Samuel Peter in a rematch, and a month later, on October 16, Vitali’s brother Wladimir defends the WBC heavyweight belt against Shannon Briggs. The three fights will be live from Germany.

That’s the good news. The bad news is that many people still can not access ESPN3. The channel is available depending on whether your ISP has paid for the service. Time Warner Cable is one who has not, so if you are a customer of Time Warner, you’re out of luck for this.

As a user of the service, I can say that is not the most reliable yet, but the quality is very good when everything is working properly. However, it is only good that ESPN is using the service to pick fights. Finally, Time Warner and others probably will buy Internet streaming service becomes more and more of a factor in the way of watching television. For those looking for more fights in the air in the U.S., I hope this will be a trail-blazing effort.
