Brokaw Accident:NBC’s top journalist Tom Brokaw and his wife escaped in a wild three vehicle accident in Bronx, Friday. According to the sources, Tom Brokaw and his wife, Meredith, were going in their 2006 Volvo station wagon at 12:57 p.m. yesterday that suddenly a car coming from opposite hit with their wagon and in a result the woman driving that car died. According to the investigators, the accident caused by the debris and woman had lost her car balance. The accident was so powerful that the lady was thrown out of the driver’s side window. Tom was driving the car and both husband wife are safe.
A postal service truck driver is also injured in this accident and was taken to Westchester Medical Center. Driver who got the bruises on his shoulder is the driver of a postal service company and an old man of 54 years.

“As the mail truck careened into the Brokaw lane, Tom hit the brakes hard and skidded along the median,” the statement from Mr. Brokaw, who lives in Manhattan, said. “When the mail truck catapulted the median, the Brokaw vehicle slid into it.”

There was a heavy traffic jam after the accident at the Bruckner Expressway. According to the police sources, the spool of wire had not been found as of Friday evening.
Tom Brokaw, 69, is the anchor, television journalist and author of bestseller, The Greatest Generation. He also has been the managing editor of NBC Nighty News from 1982 to 2004.
