Marvin IsleyMarvin Isley:Marvin Isley, bassist of the legendary R & B / funk-infused the Isley Brothers’ group died Sunday night in Chicago at the age of 56 years, Chicago has already reported for the first time. While Isley was too young to join his older brothers in the group in the 60s, was taken to the band in early 1970 after signing with Epic and began work on “3 +3 album, first medal gold.

While the days before the letter was Marvin Isleys with songs like “Twist and Shout”, “Heart of This Old Mine (Is Weak for You)” and “is your thing,” Marvin’s playing helped usher the low in a cooler, more funky side of the group, known as staples “Fight the Power”, “That Girl” and “For the Love of You.”

Along with the rest of his brothers, Marvin was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992 and eventually retired from active play in 1997 due to complications from diabetes. Both legs were amputated due to his condition finally.

Marvin separated from the Isley Brothers for a short time, forming the trio Isley-Jasper-Isley, scoring a No. 1 hit with “Caravan of Love” in 1985. The Isley Brothers and Marvin output was not the commercial success in the 80 and 90, however, left their mark on the world of hip-hop, with many of his songs sampled over the years by people like Ice Cube, NWA, Jim Jones and Lily Allen.
