Mariah Carey Whitney, Mariah Carey has been one of the many grieving over the death of Whitney Houston, with the star perhaps having more reason than many of the deceased’s celebrity friends to lament her passing. Carey and Houston were huge chart rivals in the 90s, both recognised for their incredible vocal ranges and diva aesthetic, selling millions in the process.

It was widely believed that this rivalry turned personal as well; however the pair came together in 1998 for a collaboration on ‘When You Believe,’ which took the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1999 after it featured on the DreamWorks film ‘The Prince Of Egypt, and the pair became friends thereafter.

Now Carey has reacted to the death of the ‘I Will Always Love You’ singer by posting a video montage to Youtube featuring moments of the duo performing together at notable events including the 1999 Oscars as well as pictures from recording and other moments of them together. Sound tracking the two minute long video is, of course, ‘When You Believe.’
