Secret Society Of Women, Lisa Ling, 37, said she felt like a “complete failure” after suffering a miscarriage six months. Ling, who was co-host of The View from 1999 to 2002, returned to the show Tuesday to talk about his experience. His appearance will be broadcast Friday, AP reports. Ling, who is married to Paul Song oncologist, said that after she had been pregnant for nine weeks, she said her baby had no heartbeat. She said she “felt more like a failure than I had felt in a very long time.” Ling says she fears it may happen again, leaving her “devastated”. When she realized that she knew many women had miscarriages, but seldom talked, she and a business partner have launched a website called Secret Society of Women that encourages women to share their experiences anonymously.

Lisa Ling, The documentary “Miss Representation” star has a great list of interviewees, united behind an issue. The theme is how women are represented – as sex objects, as victims, as bad-tempered dogs – in the media. He also speaks of how the pictures have a severe effect on how young women are, and how the nation sees women in power.

Some of the women in power, as Nancy Pelosi and Condoleezza Rice, interviewed in the film. So are the journalists Katie Couric and Lisa Ling, commentator Rachel Maddow, actresses Rosario Dawson, Geena Davis and Jane Fonda, and comedian Margaret Cho (who is responsible for a trailer in bad word).

The film is directed by actress-turned-filmmaker Jennifer Siebel Newsom. (Ironically, the film director may be best known for her famous husband, Mayor of San Francisco, and soon to be Lieutenant Governor of California, Gavin Newsom.)

“Miss Representation” screens of U.S. antitrust Documentary at the Sundance Film Festival 2011.

Secret Society Of Women, Former View cohost Lisa Ling returned to bed as a guest today and opened for the first time about six months after suffering a miscarriage nine weeks of pregnancy.

“I felt more like a failure than I had felt in a very long time,” she recalled in an interview broadcast Friday. She and her husband Paul Song had been “devastated” by the loss, in particular, Ling said, because now she feared the same result if she tries to get pregnant again.

But experience has also inspired Ling to take action. Since then, she co-founded Secret Society of Women, a website offering a forum for those who need an outlet to share their experiences and benefit from the advice and words of wisdom from other women.
