Lindsey Vonn, World Cup skier Lindsey Vonn has denied that she is seeing Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow.

“I am single. I’m not with anyone,” she told The Associated Press last week. “I’ve heard a lot of rumors and a lot of reports. Mostly, the European press has gone a little bit crazy.”

Vonn, who is going through a divorce from her husband, Thomas, added to the rumor mill after her win in an event Wednesday in Beaver Creek, Colo. She dropped to a knee with skis in hand and struck a prayer pose, joining the ever-growing “Tebowing” craze.

Also, Tebow’s brother Robby was there to watch Vonn race.

On Sunday, Vonn watched with the Tebow family as Tim led another fourth-quarter comeback in the Broncos’ 13-10 overtime win over the Oakland Raiders. She wrote about it for The Denver Post, noting that she first met the Tebows during the ESPY Awards several years ago.

Vonn told the AP that she respects the job Tim Tebow has done in guiding the Broncos back into playoff contention, especially with all the criticism he receives.

“He’s proving them all wrong,” Vonn said. “In a way, that’s what I’m trying to do as well – to be able to compete under any circumstance and keep fighting and doing my best every day. Just because I ‘Tebow,’ doesn’t mean I’m dating him. I said that if I won in Colorado, I would ‘Tebow’ because I admire what he’s doing.

“I know their family pretty well. They’re great people, very kind and generous. It’s been nice to know them.”
