Kevin Costner: Costner & Houston Funeral, WHITNEY HOUSTON’S Bodyguard co-star Kevin Costner is set to lead the tributes at her funeral tomorrow.

The 57-year-old actor is planning to speak during the ceremony at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey, where Whitney will be laid to rest.

And his words will be followed by musical performances by Stevie Wonder and Whitney’s godmother Aretha Franklin.

The family agreed yesterday that the service would be streamed live on the internet to fans, after deciding against a large public memorial ceremony.

Her long-standing mentor, record producer Clive Davis – who, it has emerged, was paying all of the star’s bills in the period before her death last Saturday – will also deliver a speech.

A family source added: “Clive has been a complete rock for her family this entire time. He’s been with her since the beginning and he’s been everything to them.

“They’re leaning on him for emotional support.

“He talks to them hourly and he’s a very big part in planning her funeral.

“Clive has been a constant presence for them.”

Some family members have insisted that Whitney’s ex-husband Bobby Brown should be barred from attending her funeral service.

They have accused the broke R&B singer of “leeching” off Whitney’s daughter Bobbi Kristina, 18, and are desperately fighting to keep him away from her. But earlier this week, Brown insisted he will be at the service and is demanding access to Bobbi, saying he plans to give her his “love and support”.

As the investigation into Whitney’s death continues, police have contacted six doctors believed to have prescribed drugs to the tragic star, amid speculation that she may have taken an overdose of prescription tablets.

The probe comes as Whitney’s family and Brown argue over her future earnings – which have already rocketed in the wake of her death.
