Leonard NimoyLeonard Nimoy, Star Trek actor Leonard Nimoy has attended his final “Star Trek” convention in Chicago.

The actor of 80 years old, best known for playing Mr. Spock in the original television series that began in September 1966 formed four fingers in a V sign Vulcan for fans and sang most famous line Spock: “Live long and prosper.”

Nimoy has said the convention in suburban Chicago celebrates the 45th anniversary of Star Trek will be the last.

He spoke for an hour about his life and career, and thanked the fans for their support over the years. Some placards saying “We love Leonard Long & prosper.”

The creation of entertainment organized Star Trek conventions. Company CEO Adam Malin says the company has toured and collaborated with Nimoy for nearly three decades and Nimoy “will be missed.”
